Known as the “Gay Cheers of Asbury Park,” Georgie’s clientele is a diverse group of old and young LGBTQ who frequent the bar for its reasonably-priced drinks, drag nights, karaoke, live music, beer pong competitions, and pool table. Plus, once you’ve come here a few times, guess what? Everybody really will know your name.
Paradise at the Empress Hotel101 Asbury Ave., Asbury Park, NJ 07712
Paradise, located within the Empress Hotel on the Asbury Park boardwalk, is the premier place to spend your hours during the summer. With multiple bars, including two outdoor ones, a giant pool, a fantastic restaurant, and drink specials all day long, this place is always packed with scantily-clad men and women.
Deko Lounge1979 Highway 35 South, Sayreville, NJ 08872
Deko, known to many of us under the affectionate pseudonym “Deck-A-Ho” (a nickname coincidentally coined by JSG’s own Ginger) is, really, the number one place in New Jersey to go for hookups and to see your exes all at once. Friday night is gay night, and here you’ll find some of the best-looking – and most inebriated – patrons under 35. Though the $15 cover (plus $5 for parking) may sound steep, the drinks are strong, the music is insane, and you can always find a list to get you reduced or free entry. Hell, just say Lauren Chevy at the door. ;)
The L Bar @ Centro

For some local entertainment on a Saturday night, come to The L Bar at Centro Nightclub. This two-level club sports a bar and dance floor on the main level and a smokers’ lounge and pool room in the basement. Drinks are half-price before eleven, and if you visit their web site, you can print out a coupon for free entry ($10 savings).

DClub@Nunosrecently started an LGBT night on Thursdays. With no cover before midnight, cheap drinks, bangin’ music, hot bartenders, and a huge dancefloor, this place is seriously a diamond in the rough. Spread the word!
