Anderson Cooper Reports: New Information About Andrew Shirvell’s Anti-Gay Activities
Andrew Shirvell, former Assistant Attorney General of Michigan, is best known to most of us as that douchebag who took the election of gay university student Chris Armstrong to Student-Body President sooooo bloody personally and decided to make the poor guy’s life a living hell. (In case you aren’t familiar … Shirvell created a blog that called Armstrong a racist, a Nazi, anti-Christian, and referred to homosexuality as a “cult,” and slunk around Armstrong’s house with a video camera – hmmm – and said a number of other things that basically means he’s probably a closet case himself.)
In an interview with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, former Attorney General Mike Cox, Shirvell’s former boss, said, “[Shirvell] blogging … it’s not impacting the mission of the office. I hear in America we have this thing called the First Amendment, which allows people to express what they think and engage in political and social speech.”
However, Cooper reports today that a new report reveals that Shirvell “used state resources to make some of these poisonous postings on his blog and Facebook, and misled investigators about it.” Watch the video below for more details.
By the way, after seeing that video, doesn’t Shirvell strike you as a bit of a “special” character himself? To be honest, his rhetoric and manner of speaking reminds me of a shy first-grader who’s on camera for the first time. But maybe that’s just me.

I paid very close attention to this man during the rash of gay teen suicides last year. He’s a conscienceless bastard and I came to the same conclusion as you – he’s definitely a closet case.
